Conversion Kit VZ Binnacle to suit VY
I have developed a kit to convert the VZ Binnacle Gauges to work with a aftermarket oil sender. This make it possible to fit these gauges into any VY, VY Monaro or any other situation where the original ECU signal is not present. For those who don't know, these gauges only work in the VZ series as the oil pressure signal comes from the ECU. The VY series ECU does not output this signal. Many people have hit a dead end in the past trying to fit this gauges to a VY. But now its easy.My conversion uses an aftermarket oil sensor much like any other set of aftermarket gauges. The advantage of two oil sensors is that if one fails you should still have one telling you the correct information.The modification on these gauges to accept an aftermarket sender is fully contained inside of the housing. From factory, there were three unused pins on the rear of these binnacle gauges. After the conversions, these three pins are used to wire in the new oil sender. The volt meter side of the gauge remains untouched and functions as per normal.The auction includes the following:* I Convert a set of gauges you supply in working order.
